Sarah Saad recently spoke on behalf of RSR at the 24thEast Region Solicitors Conference on the matter of legislative updates to corporate and commercial employment. The changes made to the Canada Business Corporations Act, the Canada Cooperatives Act (part of Bill C-25), and the Ontario Employment Standards Act (Bill 148) were of particular interest to those practicing corporate, commercial and employment law.
Among the many areas subjected to changes were the election of directors, notice and access for documents, and diversity disclosure.
